Teddy bear party games are ideal for young children!
Teddy bear party games are such fun for little kids! And a teddy bear party will provide you with wonderful memories for years to come.
Get your little guests to bring along their favorite teddy bear or stuffed toy, and don't forget to invite Winnie the Pooh as your star soft toy!
Teddy bears have become an emblem of childhood itself, it seems, representing stability and friendship. So the theme of this party is irresistable! You might want to provide extra teddies if some of your child guests arrive without one.
Teddy bear party games
Play with Teddy This is a kind of teddy follow-my-leader. Ask the kids to
dance with Ted
run with Ted
feed Ted
clean Ted's teeth
rock Ted to sleep
and so on.
Where's Teddy? A teddy bear hunt is great fun for little kids! Use one of your teddy bears and hide him in the room or outside, and get the kids to find him.
Alternatively, you could hide a few teddy bears around the house or in the garden and get the kids to go round and find out how many teddies are hiding.
Hot and cold Another hiding game, where one child has to leave the room. The rest of you decide where Ted will hide, and then the child comes back in and looks for him.
If they get near Ted, you can all shout "getting warmer...!" - or colder, if they start going in the wrong direction.
Pass the teddy bear You can use some nursery rhyme music for this. All the children sit in a circle, and when the music starts, they pass a teddy around. When the music stops, the child holding Teddy is out.

Little children will love to play the tickling game "round and round the garden" with each other. Play it with a couple of kids first, to help them remember it.
"Teddy bear, teddy bear, touch your nose" is a nice action game to play together.
If your party tea is picnic style, you can sing "If you go down to the woods today"!
Include a story for the children, too - We're Going on a Bear Hunt is popular - or how about a classic with Goldilocks and the Three Bears?
