More owl fun for kids
Make a barn owl mobile The British Barn Owl Trust has a fantastic free printable owl mobile - and it's in color, too. Print the back and front templates onto card, join together, and attach string.
Check out the link to listen to owl sounds, too!
Jan Brett's Mitten Masks Fantastic printables from Jan Brett on this page - you'll find the Owl, the Badger, the Fox - and other characters to click through to their printable PDFs.
The masks are very detailed animal face illustrations. They are stunning quality, and in amazing color - but my owl came out brilliantly on my black and white printer, so you have no excuse here, I think your child will love all of these pictures!
A lovely owl story
Owl Babies was one of my son's very favorite books when he was about four or five years old.
Owl Mother flies off one night - and her three babies, Sarah, Percy, and Bill, wonder where she is... and when she'll come home!
It's a great book to read together, and of course in the end, Mother does come back!
Fab illustrations too - thos owl chicks are just so fluffy!
