What do girls want? Well, a shopping trip is always nice... or a little fashion dabbling. But don't forget your child's adventurous side too!
It's not been easy finding quality sites specifically featuring online games for girls.
Although a couple more sites looked great fun, I wasn't happy with some of the features presented.
Each site here is child-friendly, and most have easily-viewable kid-centered Privacy Policies. Surf the sites first, however, to check their appropriacy for your child.
You can register your child with some of these sites, but it's not obligatory.

Little Princess Kingdom
Here's an original, magical place for little girls - join the Little Princess in her castle, and help her dress up or catch apples in her pram, count rabbits - or print out dot to dots. Your child can also create their own kingdom scene using a point and click/drag and drop activity, then print it out.
Rainbow Magic
More imaginative online games for girls here. Have you heard of the Rainbow Magic books, featuring the Rainbow Magic fairies? This site lets you meet the characters, check out the books, and play fun games. There's coloring in, a fairy dress up game and activity sheets to print out, too.
There are also plans to produce an animated TV series based on the books, so I guess we'll be seeing a lot more of these fairies in the future!
Sky Breeze dress up games
Loads of dress up games for girls online here! Hot hip fashions, pajama party dress up, shopping spree fun - or even prepare for an African safari. Makeovers and clothes designing are also included. Looking for more dress up games online? Check out my dress up online games for girls and boys.
Go Girls Only
Go Girls Only is brought to you from the Girl Scouts of the USA. Direct a video, help planet earth, take a quiz or get involved in some Girl Talk. This is a simply designed, easily navigable site. Neat.
Lisa Frank Online
Take a facial, get busy in the kitchen and jazz up your jeans! Lisa Frank Online provides "stuff girls love" and it's packed with girly info, games - such as Ask Genie or Marble Maze - and activities. A fair amount of reading is included here - but the subject matter is well presented and interesting.
Clikits from Lego
Check out the fun and games in the Mall Maze as you choose that perfect outfit. There are puzzles and a quiz, which is wonderfully correct in its findings! Some fun online games for girls here which your little daughters will love.
Bratz
Navigate through to the games area to do some fashionmixing and matching, go on a Mall Crawl - or play Diamondz Glam and match up the jewels - lots of online games for girls who love a bit of pizzazz here! Some of the more recent games require registration and log in.
Fifi and the Flowertots
A TV series that "has special appeal for girls aged 2 - 6" (although apparently the boys won't be left out...)
You can click your country's flag to get to the site tailored for you - but I found more games on the UK or Australian version than I did for the US or Canada - so try them all out! (This could be because the TV series is newer to North America.)
My Little Pony
My Little Pony online games for girls whisk you off to the Amusement Park, and the My Little Pony Butterfly Island Adventure Game.
