I think a bold balloon coloring page for little kids to color is a great idea for the end of a sunny afternoon! You'll find ideas on how to use this printable, as well as a sneak peak at two balloon online games...
Oh - and a video of the most famous balloon song of all - Up, Up and Away in my Beautiful Balloon - oh yes, we're gonna fly today!
Before you start, decide which colors the balloon should have - will it be striped, using two colors, or will you use five different colors? You might like to print a few balloons to fly across your child's bedroom ceiling :)
You can either cut the balloon shape out first, and then color in, or leave it as it is and add clouds and sun for the background. If you cut it out, you can use a hole puncher to make a hole in the top of the balloon, attach string or ribbon through the hole and hang your finished balloon somewhere around the house - in your child's room, for example!
Make this a family activity - everyone gets to color in a balloon, and then you can cut the balloons out as above and add different lengths of string to each balloon to make a balloon mobile.
Why not add some people to the basket? How about a couple of round faces peeking over the top of the basket? Or if you have some character stickers, pop them in the basket and give them a fun flight!
