Want some baby shower ideas for games that kids can play? Of course you do! After all, it's a shame to leave out the kids!
Let them join in with games all your family and friends will love to play again and again!
The new baby may have an older brother or sister. Why not use the shower to tell everyone how special your older child is too?
Having a new baby in the house can be a fantastic - but confusing - experience for an older sibling. So show them they're still just as important to you by getting them involved in some fun stuff just for kids!
And your guests will just love watching the little ones play these games, too.
Diaper Dolly

This one's fun!
Show the kids how to diaper a dolly. Use a changing mat, wipes, cotton wool, cream - the lot. Your kids will love getting things into as big a mess as possible :)
Let each child have a go. If they manage to diaper the dolly - a favor is in order!
Where's that Baby?

Along the lines of Hunt the Thimble, now it's time to hunt the baby.
Use a small doll or a picture of a baby and hide it somewhere in the house - you might want to limit the hunt to a few rooms.
The finder is the winner, and can decide on the next hiding place.
Pass the Baby Doll

This is a bit like pass the parcel. Wrap up a few baby shower items and put them in a basket. Sit the children in a circle. Adults can join in too!
Put the basket in the middle and give one child a doll. Explain to the children that at the end, all the "parcels" will be given to the new mother! Start the music. The children must pass the doll around the circle.
When the music stops, the child holding the doll must open one of the favors. These could be a rattle, a rusk, formula milk, a little brush, a pacifier, teething gel, cotton wool or a plastic duck for the bath. When the child opens the "parcel", they must say what it is and what you do with it. Then everyone can talk about the item together... and the music starts again.
Stick the nose on the baby
A large picture of a bonny babe stuck onto a wall and a red nose with some sticky tac is all that's needed here.
Blindfold the child, spin them round three times and point them in the right direction. Write the name of the child on the spot where they stuck the nose. This game is twice as funny if the adults join in too.
I Can, Baby Can't

If the kid guests can bring along a photo of themselves when they were babies, so much the better!
Sit in a circle with the children. The first child must say something they can do that baby can't - for example, "I can climb trees, baby can't. Then they must explain why...
Why can't baby tell a joke? Or get itself dressed? Or draw pictures? You should get some interesting answers to these questions!
You can stress the fact that they too were babies once, and couldn't do any of those things - but now they can, and one day the new baby will be able to as well. Which might provoke an entirely new line of questioning!
Mystery Taste Test

A game traditionally for the adults, but one that can very successfully be used with your kid guests. Using different jars of baby food, blindfold two or three children and let them start tasting. They can say if the food is sweet or savory, smooth or lumpy - and whether they like it or not.
Can they identify what each food is made of? You can use the activity to talk about the kind of food babies like, what is safe for them to eat, and what the children can eat now that they couldn't eat when they were babies.
